ABIC (African Business Innovation Center)

ABIC’s role as a trade hub will boost economic activity through trade and investment, connecting the Pacific Northwest and Africa. This Project seeks to promote economic growth, act as a dynamic trade promotion center, and become an innovation center focused on advancing technology in industries including transcontinental trade, transportation, green and solar energy, biotechnology, and government and financial services.

By connecting government, industry, grassroots businesses, and communities, the center aims to help Washington State companies and other businesses succeed globally. They offer access to international trade services and facilities, simplifying and stimulating trade.

2. Develop a workforce in the Pacific NW among African American residents to meet the opportunities created by strengthened trade.

Partner with local workforce development agencies at the city, municipal, and county levels. The aim is to develop training to meet the needs of the growing digital economy and developing job markets.

The center aims to help local businesses succeed internationally, providing support in accessing trade services, finding the right resources, and boosting the local economy. We will achieve this by working together with local government, industry, workforce development, trade groups, and associations.
